***CRUCIAL INFORMATION***

In order for this map and scenario to work properly, they must be unzipped
using Winzip or a compatable zip application. The map must be saved to the
following directory in your Activision folder:

c:\program files\activision\Call to power 2\ctp2_program\ctp\save\maps

The scenario folder itself must be placed along with the other scenarios in
the following directory:

c:\program files\activision\Call to power 2\scenarios

>>>NOTE<<< if you did not place Call to Power 2 in the program files directory
then you should make the accord into the path.

Once the files are properly placed, close all outside applications and launch
CTP2 as normal. Select SINGLE PLAYER, NEW GAME and SELECT SCENARIO. A list
of all possible scenarios is provided, and this one should be included in
that list. IF YOU DO NOT SEE IT then you might have placed the scenario
files in the wrong folder, or the transfer did not work properly. If you do
see the scenario, load it like you would any other scenario.

>>>THE FOLLOWING IS VERY IMPORTANT<<<

After you select the scenario, a 'civilization name selection' box will appear
and provide you with the list of possible civilizations. Note that some
are unavailable in this scenario. IF YOU CHOOSE THE PHOENICIANS then you
are the usual BLUE player one color. This is the simplest way to play. IF,
however, YOU CHOOSE TO PLAY A DIFFERENT CIVILIZATION, THEN AFTER THE GAME IS
LOADED, YOU MUST OPEN THE CHEAT/SCENARIO EDITOR TOOL IN THE OPTIONS MENU OR
BY CLICKING THE " ! " BUTTON ON YOUR KEYBOARD. Once open, click the EMPIRE
tab, and use the <- -> keys on either side of the player number to change the
active player civ. Once you have selected which civ you wish to play, close
the editor tool and play away!

Another way of doing this change is more complicated. You must first set the
map to VIEW ALL by clicking the eyeball button, and erase the settlers
for both PLAYER 1 and for the desired civ you wish to play. Once erased, on
the EMPIRE tab, you must use the NAME CIV pull-down menu to switch the names
so that the civ you wish to play is Player 1 and the old Player 1 is now replaced
by a different color. Now, place the settlers from the UNITS tab for both
civs. Effectively, you have switched starting places with another civ, and
thus also your colors. Now, click the SAVE SCENARIO button at the bottom of
the Editor tool window, and save the scenario as a new scenario (pick a new
name and save it). Once you have done this, close the editor window, go to
OPTIONS and NEW GAME. Now, you are back to square one. Click the same NEW
GAME, SCENARIO and this time, choose the newly saved, modified scenario and
select the civ you changed to.

The only reason behind doing this the second way is to avoid using the Cheat
tool during your game, for all of us honest gamers out there.

IN THE FUTURE, THE FOLLOWING SCENARIOS WILL BE AVAILABLE

but a mod pack is under construction and we plan to have over
20 new unit types. The game is set on Mars, and will incorporate
such things as the old Space Fighters and Star Crusers as
regular aircraft, the old swarms, and much much more - image
if you will a whole new set of terrain tiles!)

Until later, Good Gaming and TAKE IT EASY!
